Fun on Bus

On the bus you get a chance to meet all sorts of interesting (?) people. Here's an example:

This lady appeared to have no control on her gabbing ability. She could not stop talking. She talked about everything.

Interesting tidbit #1: She is engaged to a member of the Italian mafia. His last name is Genovese. They will getting married as soon as his grandmother dies.

Interesting tidbit #2: Her boyfriend stands to inherit $250,000 when his grandmother dies. According to the talking lady, he will be a millionaire. Not a bad catch.

Interesting tidbit #3: A section of the FBI is assigned to watching her boyfriend. Maybe not a great catch.

Interesting tidbit #4: AIDs has been cured. The pill is still very secret and expensive. Magic Johnson got it, but most people do not. The reason? Drug companies are making a boatload of cash. Why rock the boat?

Interesting tidbit #5: All established religion is a fraud. Charities too. They'll steal your money.

Interesting tidbit #6: Reality is based on our internal beliefs. We die when a car hits us because we believe we will die when a car hits us. Presumably this lady will live forever as long as she believes she will.

Interesting tidbit #7: The lady has diabetes. Is this reality? or only her belief?

Interesting tidbit #8: Had John Kerry won the election the following would have occurred: (a) welfare payments would have increased; (b) more food stamps would have been given out; and at the same time (c) thousands upon thousands of new jobs would have been created.

A fun time. At one point she tried sleeping. She put a red pillow behind her back and stated, "Well, I don't feel sleepy. I wish I was." Sure, sure.

Saddly, she was a mother and quite rude to her son. Her son made a single sound, and she said to him, "Keep quiet. There's people around you, don't be so noisy."

Here are my new babies, my nieces!! Aren't they beautiful. The one on the left (bottom) is Alyssa, 5 pounds, 1 ounce and the one on the right (top) is Jenna, 4 pounds.

Club Toastmaster of the Year

Congratulations to Maryann Samida, Past President of Crossroads Toastmaster on achieving the 'Toastmaster of the Year' award. Maryann is the Vice President of Education for the club this year and a member of two toastmaster clubs as well as assistant for Tim Hubick in Area 42 (for Kamsack Toasters in Kamsack and Treasure Chest in Yorkton.

Toastmasters provides opportunities to develop communication and leadership skills, enhance listening skills and provide impromptu speaking situations. Come visit our club soon on Wednesday nights.

This is my kids just for Sejin. But now Brittany's hair is all in braids, as is Kennedy's and Kennedy's hair is full of curls.

Toronto Conference

I went to Toronto for an eye conference. There was a number of speakers and presentations.

Carnival

Brittany and Kennedy skated in the Whitewood Skating Club carnival on March 13th , 2004. The theme was western. Kennedy performed in four numbers, the opening, the "Duckie" Dance (that is what she called it, it was really the Chicken Dance), "Horsy, Horsy" and the Grand Finale. She wore her "farmer" dress. Brittany skated six times, the opening, in a StarSkate total group number performed to The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's 'Fishing in the Dark', as a helper with Kennedy's group "Horsy, Horsy", in a quartet performing to Shania Twain's 'Man I Feel Like a Woman', in a duet with Katrina Pollock and in the grand finale. The evening was a great success and the girls both had tons of fun.
