Oooops, I did it again!

Cook_center.jpg

We got this from three blocks away from our place.
It was free, of course. :)
It had two pieces of tabletops that used to be able to open to be a bigger table or a desk. The hinges were broken so that someone put both tops together by nails.

It didn't have the middle shelf originally. I made one of the tabletops into the middle shelf.

It doesn't look too perfect. I fixed the legs with wood filler because they were worn a bit on the edges. However, I had to drag it onto the right spot and it wore the edges again!

Another nice piece of furniture for our small kitchen.
You can call me Sejin builder Sejin!

A storage chest

storage_chest.jpg

I was very lucky to find this chest.
We recently bought a new all-in-one printer.
We definitely needed something to put both the laser and the all-in-one in our office.
I found this on the street as well on the way back home from grocery shopping. lol

It was slightly damaged, but it was easy enough for me to fix. ;)
The previous owner took the knobs out but they were kind enough to leave the hinges behind. I only had to buy knobs.

Doesn't it look awsome and new??
Another proud job!

A garden bench

bench.jpg

It was a rainy day when I went to shopping, I saw this garden bench thrown on the street.
I went back there with Dexter and bring it home. :)

It was very dirty, so that I had to break them apart and wash them for a long time that night.

As soon as the parts got dried, I had to fix it a bit, and then painted in white.
Now it's sitting next to our sofa in our den. Dexter seems to enjoy utilizing it every day.

Can anyone imagine the original dirty garden bench? I wish I took a picture of the original shape.

The Kitchen Cart

Kitchen_cart.jpg

We used to use this for our first small TV in the apartment in Hyde Park.
We got it from the back yard of the apartment building.
Since we have a new bigger TV, we keep this one in the kitchen using as a kitchen cart.

I fixed the broken part of one of the shelves. I also put a strong hinge to support it better.
I attached the beautiful wood ornament on the face too. :)
Then, I painted it in white.

I'm really proud of my work!

Sejin's first DIY

chest_new_knobs.jpg

My first DIY was a real simple thing!
I just changed the knobs on my small chest dresser.
It looks a lot different from the original already! Wow!
